Justice
Yes Yes Yes....
It is something related to Sanjay dutt,
N the indian judiciary system in particular.
Sentencing a man for committing a crime 14 years back is as good as the saying which goes somethig like "Justice Delayed, is Justice Denied"
I mean punish a crirme then and there maybe within months of tht crime.
Or even if it takes a couple of years still, i may find some logic in it.
But punishing a crime after one & half decades must be a serious joke.
I ain't a die hard fan of Sanjay dutt,
Nor am i an opposer of the Indian Legal system.
but if something is wrong, it is wrong.
If sanjay dutt created a mistake/crime 14 years back.
Indian legal system created one when the sentence was ordered.
This was a chance to show the world how to battle terrorism.
The days of curing poison with poison is gone long back.
Putting a man of Sanjay dutts stature will not bring back the victims who died of it,
Nor does it discourage terrorists from doing whtever they are good at.
Sanajy dutt was an opprutunity tht india and the indian legal system lost to capitalize on.
We could have asked him to do 100 things for the society, people, victims etc...
But wht did we end up doing.
Just put him behind bars.
Does this inflict confidence into the hearts & souls of india adn the millions of indians.
A question we the people of india need to ask and answer to our own selves, cause no man can go scot free after committing a crime.
But neither does putting someone in jail solve the problem.
Probably it is high time the judiciary, the legal experts, the police and the people of india should come to common grounds and the method of punishable tactics must be changed to prevent crime.
Somewhere deep down i feel the need is to prevent crime, rather than punish criminals.
The lame excuse of punishing someone so tht it stands out as an example for other is old outgrown and bizzare to an extent in modern times.
We all lost a glorious chance to PREVENT crime.
We are not preventing crime because we are not in tht mode yet.
We are still running behind the criminals.
Though i dont have a solution to the above said,
But i definitely know for sure tht we are not heading the right way.
Sanjay Dutt, tough i dont want to sympathize with a criminal n i shall never will.
But committing a crime in India will be your biggest mistake.
And the punishment meeted out to you, for going thru this god damn thing for the past 14 years and again 6 years is not justified.
