Sunday Updates....
Umhhhh One more sunday goes by.
Attended Stadfest yesterday.
For all those who are as new as me to germany....
Let me explain.
Satdfest is a fest held in Goppingen around this time of the year...
Wht is this festival made up of??
Loads and loads of fun.
>There is going to be loads of beer.
>Super live music all across Goppingen.Every street playing a different song,by a different band.
And then gorgeous( when i say gorgeous, believe me they are gorgeous...umhhhh :P ) girls all around...
Umhh sipping my beer swaying to the music, watching the world around me sing, dance, laugh, is a wonderful experience.
It was a nice first time experience.
Ummhhhh Todays story.
Monza Grandprix, Italy. (2007)
Wht a race? Simply superb race.
The Mclarens won the race 1-2 with Ferrari a distant third
Though a ferrari fan, must admit the mclaren's were beyond reach for Ferrari today.
the race started with Mclaren 1-2 (Alonso, Hamilton)on the grid, Ferrari (Phillippe massa) 3rd , and Ferrari (Kimi Raikonnenn) 5th on the grid.
First corner Alonso,Massa,Lewis,Kimi...After tht corner, the story changed..
Alonso,Lewis,Massa,Raikonnenn...and the story remained so until massa came in for an early pit stop.Guess work started thinking tht ferrari is in trouble, but normal pitstop and massa is out.
Three down corners down after pitstop, Massa hits a curve straight on...Things not looking good for Ferrari.Massa lingering back to Pits and hopes fading, remember Monza being Home ground of Scuderia Ferrari.
With massa out all eyes on kimi for a turn around of fortunes. But until the last 15 laps of the race...the story remains the same.
But then their is a glimpse of hope when Lewis hamilton goes in for the pits and comes out behind Ferrari.Ahhhh with sheer joy and absolute thrill and proud of the ever winning ferrari stratergy i order another beer.
One lap later hamilton behind kimi, approaching the first corner,Kimi forgets to gaurd his position. And then rest is history Lewis hamilton leaves smoke on Kimi visor and long before we know he's gone. All this happening in the backdrop alonso already ~28 secs. ahead of these two.....Guys whts happening.
Ferrari being beaten up royaly in their own place.
Must admit tough it would have nearly impossible for kimi to holdup Lewis hamilton behind him for the rest of the race.
But since being a ferrari fan for years now and after having seen the best driver the game had ever seen as in Michael Schumacher the fan inside me would have loved to see kimi defend tht corner more aggressively than he did.
There might have been a difference if today Schumi would have been there.
Isn't anybody noticing, the sport has lost its glamour after schumacher left.
Seriously speaking Ferrari have falterred into unkown directions after his exit.
Yes they have been winning, but still ferrari seems to have grown tired.
Hope they bounce back from their new lows and regain the supremacy tht they have enjoyed in this sport for a long time.
Some nostalgia to add in...
Last year this was the same track where in after being qualified second on pole behind Kimi,(alonso was 10th) schumacher went onto win the race, and admist the victory celbrations announced his retierment from the sport.Umh Long Live Michael and his legacy...
But the driver to watch out now.......Lewis Hamilton.
I guess this guy has been on podium almost all races that he has participated in this year.
What a driver?Stunning ....to an extent tht his World champion Team mate feels the heat of this new kid.
He has seriously pushed the envelope of the racing world to new heights.
When there was a champion who made records which were beyond meagre human beings(yes i am talking about the gr8 schumi) here is a guy who is creating his own records. In the coming years ,hope to see more of him.Cause he sure is a Winner, just like Michale Schumacher.
