Corruption - Bangalore Traffice Police!

“Police Raaj”, in India is as good as “Goonda Raaj”

Case scenario as below

Participant A (read yours truly), had a large peg of Vat 69 on a wonderful Sunday evening

Now “A” contemplated, appreciated, and loved drinking his VAT 69

After close to 45mins of the above exercise, came down – and started his bike to embark on the lovely journey back home (10mins drive from Place “X”)

Little did he know, that he was in store for a crash course on the Law, Rules & Regulations and Cops (corrupt ones at that)

2mins, into this lovely little odyssey and “A” was halted by policemen

Inspector drunk and smelling, constables gleefully running around stopping everybody and checking everybody’s mouth for the suspicion of celebrating liquor!!!

The Alcometer was forced into the mouth and instructions to breathe out as slowly as possible was read out

14% of alcohol was found in the blood and “A” was put to agony for an Hour and half, for this offence committed

The inspector on asking told us that anything above 10%, was lawfully wrong and that “A” had to pay a fine of 2000/-

In the meantime, a constable came and took the keys from me and took the bike to the Police station and was told to come to the Police station to collect the bike

After reaching the police station, “A” was asked to sign on somebody else’s Alcometer report, which was flatly refused

Since all the hankering did not do any good to the situation, “A” did pay the fine and was let off

When “A” asked for the receipt, it was told to come the next day and collect the same

Now it’s been 4 days, since then – “A” has been going regularly to the Police station and is always told to come tomorrow to come and collect the receipt

It’s a corrupt world, “A” cannot fight against the police, since he fears the future

What and all the police could do – If “A” fights against them

Isn’t there any system, which would help common man – fight against corruption and still have a peaceful sleep

I use to always say this to an IAS friend of mine “This country has gone to dogs, enjoy this country as long as it lasts” and she used to always fight back saying that there is still Hope

Truly, that’s all that is left now – H O P E.

Nothing else matter’s, since it’s the common man who gets pushed around

Alas!!!
