Rock On

This is about the Farhan Akhtar's debut movie "ROCK ON"

Well firstly it is all about music and friends

I pretty much enjoyed the movie, maybe a large portion of it was due to the Rock music

Very good music, Must say

The storyline and the cast------>

The cast includes, Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal, Shabana Goswami, Prachi Desai, Purab Kohli and Luke

Not something new,

The same old thing where friends dream of achieving something and due to misunderstanding,

Thread different paths, completely away from each other

Wife of Farhan Akhtar, chances to meet upon Purab Kholi where he over hears them(wife & friend) speaking about the hubby's birthday and the gift they want to buy

Wife tries to unite hubby with his long lost friends

But little does she know differences have crept too much for immediate re bonding

After some puzzle solving, the four friends start jamming together at the hero's house in preparation for the concert

Then there is a friend who is supposed to be dying

Arjun Rampal acting is controlled and for once worth watching,

Sahana Goswami is the trump card though, great skills and pretty lass too

Purab Kholi too has done a cameo which is good enough to keep the audience seated

The Music----->

But the best of all is the music,

Unlike most of the bollywood movies,

The songs don't just pop out of scenes and irritate the viewer

There is a spoof of old Hindi songs remixed and sung as rock songs,

Does send a round of laughter among the audience

The Climax ---->

Nothing like a Dil Chahtha Hai, or a Chak De

But still somewhere it pulsates the viewer to remain seated and watch even though the weak link, the storyline falters time and again

My say ----->

The songs Rock and the climax though so much predictable is good enough

So Rock ON and don't leave until the credits start rolling

There is an important message that flashes and is worth reading

"ROCK ON" rocks when it comes to music, and somewhere it might open up some avenues for the many talented singers out there in our country trying to make a living out of it
